Project architect/ lead designer for 18-million dollar extension of Chicago Riverwalk from Michigan Avenue to State Street.

Michigan Avenue Northwest Plaza Reconstruction and Elevator

Project architect/ lead designer for historic renovation of Michigan Avenue stair to river level and proposed accessible elevator from Wrigley Plaza to Wendella Dock.

University of Chicago Hospitals Parking Structure and Office Building, Chicago, Illinois

Project architect for 43-million dollar 1000-car parking structure and adjacent 70,000sf office building.

Roy and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center Competition, Chicago, Illinois

63-million dollar, 300,000 sf worship and community center acting as the Salvation Army headquarters in Chicago. Program includes worship and education spaces, sports and arts facilities.

Northeastern Illinois University – Building A Renovation, Chicago, Illinois

Project architect/ manager/ lead designer for a 6-million dollar, 32,000 sf renovation of an existing campus building for the College of Business and Management.           

Federal Courthouse, Tuscaloosa, Alabama

80 million-dollar 125,000 sf federal court building.

Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation, Evanston, Illinois

Received LEED Platinum rating.

Buffalo Grove Metra Station Remodel, Buffalo Grove, Illinois

                        Project architect for a $600,000 remodel and addition to an existing  Metra rail station.

 

MURPHY/JAHN ARCHITECTS, Chicago, Illinois, 1999 to November, 2004

O’Hare International Airport, Terminal Three Renovations, Chicago, Illinois

Project architect for the 30-million dollar interior remodeling of a 350,000 SF terminal building. Responsible for all aspects of work from design development though shop drawing review, team management, engineering and document coordination, and construction administration.

O’Hare International Airport Security Checkpoint Upgrade, Chicago, Illinois

O’Hare International Airport, Façade & Circulation Project, Chicago, Illinois

Expansion and remodeling of 1 million SF in Terminals 1,2 and 3 totaling 250 million dollars.  Responsible for work from design development through final construction documents and administration.

P1 Tower, Chicago, Illinois

Competition entry for a 60-story commercial and residential high-rise building on the Chicago River.

Highlight Towers, Munich, Germany

40-million dollar, mixed-use high-rise commercial/ hotel complex.

43-acre site with 28 homes sharing a common house, pool and walking trails designed following sustainable design principles.

9600 SF police training and detention facilities.  Site analysis, document coordination.

Intern                Internship sponsored by the University of Texas.  Worked on residential, institutional, and commercial projects. Hand drawings, CAD work.

 

CENTER FOR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL BUILDING SYSTEMS, Austin, Texas, 1995

      Intern             The “Max-Pot House” is Pliny Fisk’s prototypical Green Building incorporating rain water retention, waste water treatment, off-grid solar energy, and alternative and recycled building materials such as fly-ash concrete. The project was funded by a Texas State Grant.
